‘A crore Indians took pledge for a Litter Free India on the 151st Gandhi Jayanti’

This year on the occasion 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi (Oct 2), a FIT India Plog Run was held in which  over a crore people participated from across the country virtually.More than 1 crore Fitness enthusiasts & Citizens across the country ran on their own routes and own pace thus tracking their distance using a GPS watch.  The huge number of participants shared this on social media using the #FitIndiaPlogRun #NewIndiaFitIndia #FitIndiaFreedomRun and #LitterFreeIndia.

Fit India Ambassador Ripu Daman Bevli along with citizens from the entire nation shared this on social media using the #FitIndiaPlogRun, #NewIndiaFitIndia, #FitIndiaFreedomRun and #LitterFreeIndia. Ripu himself completed a 2Km run which began from Lodhi Garden in Delhi and also interacted with several participants online to encourage groups to take  the pledge and follow all covid precautions.

The First FIT India Plog Run last year was a huge success with close to 40 lakh people across 62000 locations participating and this year being covid, it was done online.
