This is the theme of a new book titled, “RULES OF THE GAME: Discover, Learn, Invent the Art of Speeding Up your Career”written by Dr. Sumit D Chowdhury, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and Carnegie Mellon University, currently the President of Reliance JioInfocomm. The book released on May 26 in New Delhi focuses on students, young professionals and everyone in the corporate workforce who as the author claims wants to speed up their career by internalizing certain concepts faster than others. The book provides ideas to create the tools to align expectations with defined values and unique capabilities. The concepts are discussed using the author’s own experiences and insights from many successful professionals captured by spending time through face-to-face interviews and through online interactions asking them what is it that they wished and knew when they were 22 years old Those who attended the releasing event which was preceded by a panel discussion ‘Workplace Survival to Workplace Success’, included president of Microsoft India Bhaskar Pramanik, MD and CEO of NSDC Dilip Chenoy and founder and Trustee of Ashoka University and MD of Jamboree Education Vineet Gupta.
