In a recent study on subject-wise ranking analysis published in one of the impact journals, PLOS Biology on 16th October 2020, has featured more than 100,000 top scientists of the world on the basis of standardised citation indicators such as information on citations, H-index, co-authorship and a composite indicator. The study was conducted and the ranking database has been created by a team of authors, led by Dr John Ioannidis, from the Stanford University, USA and the Elsevier B.V., The Netherlands.. There were 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields were taken for the study. For analysis of the citations and the composite indicators, SCOPUS data provided by Elsevier was used with data freeze as on May 6, 2020.
