On the occasion of the World Health Day (April 13),  a multilingual online educational resource for kidney patients to combat COVID-19, ‘Know Corona to Defeat Corona’ was released   by Dr. Sanjeev Gulati, Director,  Nephrology and Kidney Transplant, Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj and Dr. Sanjay Pandya, Nephrologist and Chief Mentor – Kidney Education Foundation, Rajkot. 

The information provided is authenticated by a team of kidney specialists from different parts of the world. It can be accessed free of cost on the Kidney Education Website, in English, Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, French, Vietnamese, Serbian, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Punjabi.  The objective of this online resource is to educate people about the coronavirus in their own native language, free of cost. The online educational resource provides all the vital information for kidney patients to fight against the coronavirus.

The online resource was launched online by Prof (Dr.) Vivekanand Jha, President, International Society of Nephrology and dedicated to kidney patients not only in India but all over the world. It has been commended by Prof (Dr.) Anupam Agarwal, President, American Society of Nephrology as an effective medium, combatting the lack of knowledge surrounding the coronavirus, allowing for public education and bridging the knowledge gap with respect to the virus.
